Little Jane’s Story
Little Jane was only five when her life fell apart. Both of her parents died from drug addiction. There was no one else. She was completely alone.
When she arrived at Klokánek, no one knew how she would cope with such loss. And then - something magical happened. She smiled. She carried with her a lightness, a joy that instantly touched everyone around her. Wherever Little Jane went, it felt like the sun came out.
On a group trip to a castle, she listened quietly to the guide’s long lecture about antiques. Then, in the middle of the polished wooden floor, she stopped, closed her eyes, and began to dance. The guide froze in wonder - he said he had never seen anything so moving in all his years.
But soon, we realized she needed more than love and safety. Doctors discovered she had celiac disease. The caregivers started baking gluten-free bread for her, carefully watching every crumb she ate. And then a small miracle: her health improved rapidly, and with it, her whole development blossomed. She became lively, started reciting poems, and when she entered school, she excelled.
Then came the day that changed her life again. A foster family came to meet her. It was love at first sight - on both sides. Today, she’s in second grade, doing brilliantly in school, and still spreading joy wherever she goes.
Thanks to generous support, she got the chance to start over. From a little girl with a tragic beginning, she has grown into a bright, strong child who proves that even after darkness, light returns.
